The idea for WayMe was born on a foggy, treacherous hike along Hong Kong’s Pat Sin Leng Ridge. During that hike, our founder Rainer received a call from his deeply worried wife. It was in that moment that he realized the need for a hiking app that prioritizes safety and keeps loved ones informed. From that spark, WayMe was created—to bring peace of mind to hikers everywhere.
From Hong Kong’s country trails to mountain paths around the world, WayMe has been shaped by feedback from our diverse community. First-time hikers, elite athletes, and outdoor professionals all use WayMe to stay safe on the trail.
